Parenting Safe Children Workshop being offered free of charge

BCD parents are invited to attend an amazing and very important workshop on Parenting Safe Children: Empowering Adults to Keep Children Safe from Sexual Abuse with Feather Berkower free of charge on Saturday, September 14th from 10:00am - 2:00pm.
Parents will learn:
  • What makes children vulnerable to sexual abuse.
  • What body-safety rules you can teach your children to keep them safe.
  • How you can talk about your child’s body safety with teachers, coaches, nannies, family members, faith leaders and other parents.

Feather Berkower is a licensed clinical social worker and holds a Masters of Social Welfare from the University of California, Berkeley. She has been a leader in child sexual abuse prevention since 1985 and educated over 100,000 school children, parents and professionals.

This workshop is for BCD families only and is being provided free of charge through a grant from a BCD family. 
 
BCD Faculty and Staff will also receive training in Keeping Kids Safe from Sexual Assault by Feather Berkower. We are grateful to Burnham Law for financing this opportunity.
