Capital Campaign

Campaign Priorities

People

Quality. Dedication. Enthusiasm. Creativity. These are just a few of the characteristics that define and distinguish the faculty and staff of Boulder Country Day School.

Our people are our excellence. As such, it is a top priority to continuously attract, recruit and maintain best-in-class educators to ensure the future success of our school. Here in Boulder, where the cost of living is on the rise, the competition is fierce to hire the best and brightest talent. This effort will expand our financial resources to support higher salaries and greater benefits for our dedicated team of teachers and staff. Raised funds will support our newly adopted Faculty Compensation Plan.

Why Give to the Capital Campaign?

Annually, we ask our graduating 8th graders what they are going to miss the most when they leave BCD. Without exception they talk about community  and relationships, the excellent and caring teachers, and the sense of home that our school provided for them.

“Fundamentally, Bulldogs Forever is  about our people. It’s about ensuring  we can attract and retain outstanding  educators to serve our children’s needs, and it’s about ensuring our students,  faculty, staff, and families have a place they can proudly call home.”

Place

We’ve grown, and we’ve grown up. As BCD evolves to meet the needs of our ever-changing world, we need the space to all come together and nourish our vibrant community. The spectacular new Commons Building will do exactly that— and so much more.

It will feature an indoor-outdoor dining hall with food service provided by Sage Dining (included in tuition) and will double as a gathering space. The second floor of the Commons Building will house our Center for Innovative Learning expanding and enhancing our spaces for the arts as well as science, technology, engineering, art and math (STEAM). The subsequently freed up spaces in existing buildings will be renovated to include a modernized Library, a combined ES and MS science labs, and an official campus Welcome Center. Additional campus features to be funded by the campaign include gardens, outdoor learning spaces, lower field remediation work, and our new preschool playground.

"We couldn't be happier with the experience that our children, Ethan and Emma, had at BCD.  The quality of education, the high standards of performance in all aspects of their scholastic lives, and the caring, personalized attention from every member of the staff, were all major contributors to their long-term success.  Now they are college graduates - one from a top-tier university and one as a successful Division I athlete, and are avidly pursuing their chosen careers.  Our leadership transformation gift was an easy decision; first as an expression of gratitude to the school for a job well-done, and secondly in the hope that BCD can continue its tradition of excellence with future generations of students."
