BALANCED AND DIFFERENTIATED CURRICULUM
Purpose and passion are the tools with which we create an engaging environment of intrinsic learners. Our curriculum is thoughtfully crafted to encourage learning in a variety of subjects so that each individual student can discover their own excellence wherever it may be. We enhance our curriculum with STEM, performing and visual arts, world languages, physical education and executive functional skills such as organization and goal-setting.

SOCIAL AND EMOTIONAL GROWTH
BCD academics balance challenge and support to create curious, creative learners who love coming to school each day. That’s only half the story though. Here, social-emotional growth and development are also at the heart of everything we do. We are proud to use the Love and Logic, Responsive Classroom and Developmental Design curricula to teach, model and develop these crucial life skills in our students. From communication and risk-taking to problem-solving and more, BCD students receive a well-rounded education that accounts for both hearts and minds.
Small class sizes
Personalized attention fosters active, joyful learning. We know this to be true, and it’s why no student “slips through the cracks” at BCD. Our small class sizes and low teacher-to-student ratios ensure that each student is seen, heard, known and understood for who they are. Their strengths. Their challenges. Their needs and their talents. We use this knowledge to support each individual student’s achievements.
REMARKABLE FACULTY
Our teachers and staff care for our students and love what they do. Not only are they experts in their fields, but they come to school each day with optimism and enthusiasm for education. We hire and retain faculty members who are devoted to professional growth and aren’t afraid to take on new challenges. All have multiple years of teaching experience and most hold advanced degrees, often coming to BCD as a result of extensive, national searches.
