Interpersonal

Social-emotional and interpersonal skills are as important as academic achievement as they play a crucial role in how students navigate the world around them. As such, age appropriate guidance is integral to a BCD education. Through intentional lesson planning and everyday learning opportunities, we help students develop aptitude in positive communication, self awareness, and maintaining healthy relationships. 

Experiential

Experiential learning is real-world learning. Through the cycle of experience, reflection, conceptualization, and experimentation, students learn how to discover answers for themselves; rather than relying on only provided material. Experiential learning develops investigative skills, strengthens problem solving skills, and improves learning retention.

Inclusive

A student’s sense of belonging is essential to academic and personal development. Learning experiences that are framed through the lens of social justice standards honor the differences and diversity of our world through representation, dialog, and engagement. This intentional practice of inclusivity enhances learning while strengthening personal identity and understanding of others.
