BCD Destination Imagination team qualifies for Globals
Congratulations to our middle school Destination Imagination team - Ana Paula Gonzalez, Amelia Fawcett, Zach Strugar, Charlie Engle, Will Tuck, Mackenzie Paige and Luka Davis (not pictured). They qualified for DI Global Finals this past Saturday!
The Colorado State competition was held at the CU Denver campus on Saturday. Our team, named 'Add a Splash of Colour', competed against 18 other teams and came in second qualifying them to proceed to the Global Finals in Knoxville in May.
The team's year long philanthropy project raised over $10,000 for 6 year old cancer patient, Eliza. At the state competition, they had to make an 8 minute skit detailing the how, what, when of their project; but also what they would do differently and it had to highlight two of the teams talents which were PowerPoint presentation/movie making and singing. They also had to compete in an instant challenge which was worth 30% of their score.
This is the second year this team has competed and the second year they have qualified for The Global finals. Great job team! Good luck in Knoxville.
