There’s a Rainbow Connection going on at BCD this week.
Mrs. Hamilton, BCD’s Elementary Science Teacher, asked her Kindergarten thought 4th grade students to watch a video on how rainbows are made. Then students were to use a glass of water in a windowsill to see if they could create a rainbow at home.
She then told the students that people all across the country are making rainbows to hang in their windows to give hope and smiles to neighbors when they are taking walks. Students were encouraged to make rainbows of their own and send us pictures. They really went all out!
At the end of the week, Mrs. Hamilton held Rainbow Connection Tea Parties via Zoom so that students could share their rainbows while enjoying their favorite snack. The Tea Party included a special guest visit by Mrs. Johnson.
Well done, Bulldogs! Special thanks to Mrs. Hamilton for this wonderful exercise that has given us a fun and uplifting activity to enjoy as a community as we kicked off Bulldogs Connect.
