After School

Welcome to BCD's extended day experience. We offer a variety of ways for students to stay and engage on campus and enrich their learning.

We know that the hours in a school day and a work day don’t always line up, and that’s true even when life is going just as planned. Our after school programs provide additional learning opportunities that can enrich a student’s education while supporting a family’s daily schedule.

Build a schedule in Enrichment Classes, After 3, or both!

Please note that children may not be left on school grounds unattended by a parent or guardian before or after school hours. 

2026-27 Important Dates

After 3 at BCD starts on Monday, August 24, 2026 and continues through May 19, 2027 (exceptions / days the program is closed are listed below). Program hours are 3:15 - 5:30 p.m.

Enrichment Classes

Enrichment Classes are offered for students in PK-8th grade and begin after dismissal. Selections include programs such as Taekwondo, cooking, improv, drama, chess, Lego®, art, STEM, and so much more. 

Registration for the 2026-27 school year will go live in July.

  • BCD runs four, 8-week sessions of classes and most options are offered one day a week for the 8 weeks.
  • Classes generally run from 3:30-4:30
  • Enrichment classes vary throughout the year.
  • Prices vary depending on materials and class ratios.

Families receiving 50% or more financial assistance may use the reduction rate for one Enrichment class a session. Please reach out to Susan Boyle for details. 

Students enrolled in Enrichment classes will be added to the roster for After 3 on that day before and after class.

If you have a multi-child family and one sibling would like to take an Enrichment class, we may be able to provide one day a week/Session Aftercare support for the other sibling. This is NOT a drop in service and is dependent on teacher:student ratios so not guaranteed. Registration and family discount questions should be directed to Amy Chally.

Daily After 3 at BCD

After3 is a fun extension of the BCD day from dismissal until 5:30 pm.

TK-8th After 3 offers flexible registration options and includes homework time, free play outside, facilitated activities, games, crafts, and Science Fridays.

Preschool After 3 includes outdoor play and organized indoor activities with specially trained preschool facilitators.

AfterCare options include a year-long option or semester option and programs are run both in the Preschool (YPS-PK), and in the Commons (TK-8th grade).

A3 Schedules, Pricing, and Registration:

This year we have a multi-family discount if enrolling in the year-long program. The second child’s fee is reduced by 50% and the third is free.

Families who receive financial assistance over 50% for tuition, will receive the same percentage off the cost of daily after school care. Families are required to register for the entire year. However, we will work with families who need to space out their payments.

Cancelation policy:
BCD reserves the right to cancel any after school enrichment class that does not have sufficient enrollment. Full refunds are available for program cancelation due to low enrollment. You will be notified at least one week prior to the start date of class if the class is canceled.
 
Participant cancellation:
BCD requires payment in full at the time of registration for all after school enrichment classes. Refunds are not available after 7 days prior to the first day of any after school enrichment class. If you would like to request a refund, please email us at achally@bouldercountryday.org.
