Isabelle Roshko - Class of 2012

Since graduating from BCD, I went to Dawson School for High School and then to UCLA where I completed my BA in Psychology with a minor in English. Although I have yet to have a full time job, I've explored a number of potential career paths. In high school I interned at SRG under Jen Jones in advertising. In college I worked retail at a west-coast based brand called Planet Blue while interning with a PR firm in the Valley. I took a summer off to get my bearings which led me to my ultimate career decisions in fashion. Most recently I interned at the Stella McCartney headquarters in London, first working in the design studio, then working in the Press office.

In college the biggest thing I was a part of was my sorority Kappa Kappa Gamma. I met so many amazing and inspiring women via this institution and forged some friendships I know will last a lifetime. Aside from this I wrote for an online platform called the Odyssey at UCLA, ultimately serving as the President of the organization for two years. I worked on the blog team one year, creating content for our site and the following year I worked to help plan events.

BCD taught me to work really hard. The curriculum in middle school is definitely more rigorous than at other schools and although it took time and effort, it really did prepare me to have that same work ethic in high school and beyond!
