CU Students Visit BCD to Observe Exemplary Education Space
Students from the CU Environmental Design Program toured BCD on September 11th.
Professor Azhar Ahmed Khan is an Architect and Aerospace Engineer who is passionate about design and technology and reached out to see if BCD would partner with his students who are investigating school furniture options for schools in crisis zones. The innovation of our flexible seating options in our ES building is appealing to these designers as they are looking for exemplary spaces that are not organized in the traditional manner of desks in rows that one might observe in 'old school' classrooms.
The CU students interviewed BCD teachers and students regarding the types of activities the students engage in, the different typologies of furniture that are used and even took some measurements. This was an exciting opportunity for us to showcase the benefits of flexible seating for students, educate these scholars about best practices in classroom design, and share why BCD is such an exceptional place to learn!
