The Boulder Country Day’s Development Office plays a vital role in the life of the school. In partnership with the Head of School and the Board of Trustees, the office manages the BCD Fund, the annual Gala, and other community events and is also responsible for the school’s alumni relations programs. We work closely with many members of the school community – including faculty and staff, parents and alumni – to achieve our fundraising and program goals.
As an independent, non-profit institution, BCD has two primary sources of revenue: tuition and gift support. The school relies on gifts from its parents, faculty and staff, alumni and friends to ensure that all students have an opportunity to experience a BCD education, with much of this funding coming from monies raised through the Development Office’s three most significant annual programs: the BCD Fund, the annual Gala, and the Shields Fun Run.

The BCD Fund

The BCD Fund is the primary fundraising initiative for Boulder Country Day School. This fund empowers us to continue elevating our excellence above and beyond for every student, every day and in every way. The BCD Fund helps us attract and retain devoted educators by providing competitive salaries and benefits, professional development opportunities, access to current technologies that inspire innovation and support resource-rich, best-in-class teaching and learning, and backs strategic, long-term initiatives that are critical to our school’s financial health.

The BCD Gala

BCD hosts a Fall Gala and Auction each year. The BCD Gala and Auction is the major fundraising  and community building event of the year. It is a wonderful evening of fine dining and great entertainment.

Gala funds are used in the school year in which they are raised and are utilized for program funding requirements determined and requested by faculty and staff.
