Young Alumni Achievements

  • Congratulations to Camilla Shannon (BCD Class of '15), who won 2nd place in the Fort Lauderdale International Film Festival's High School Video Competition for the documentary she filmed for her Capstone project, "I Can Save This Horse." See Camilla's work here - icansavethis horse.org.
  • Congratulations to Daniel Pearson (BCD Class of '13), for taking the Class 5A Northern regional title in golf - Fall 2015 for Fairview High.
  • BCD alumni, Reci Smith, signed a letter of intent to play soccer for Wake Forest starting Fall 2015. View the Daily Camera article here
  • Congratulations to BCD alumni, Bridget Burke, on her 1st place win in the 2014 Stars of Tomorrow competition on March 16th. She won 1st Place Senior Contemporary and the top award, 1st Place Best of Show. See her award winning performance here.

Young Alumni Feature Story : Hoben Chargualaf

Congratulations to alumnus, Hoben Chargualaf (Class of 2017), for being included in a student art exhibit at Phillips Academy. In their virtual exhibition The New Americans, Andover students share an insider view on the years 2020 and 2021. Hoben's piece titled 'Unbroken' is amazing and powerful. We love seeing him have success.

Other Young Alumni Feature Stories

Congratulations to Celia Tewey (BCD Class of 2014) for winning 2 awards in the 2016 BIFF Teen Short Film competition - best animated film for Motivation for a Storyteller and best score for Ibsa.

Celia also won Judges Choice for Best Animation at the Niwot Student Film Festival for Ibsa.

Camila Shannon (BCD '15) won Judges Choice and Audience Choice at the Niwot Student Film Festival for the trailer for her documentary, I Can Save this Horse - http://bit.ly/1V9za5F. This documentary was Camila's BCD Capstone project and is a powerful piece.

Camila and Celia will both have their films screened at the Longmont Front Range Film Festival on April 1st at 7pm. The festival is from April 27 to May 1. http://frontrangefilmfest.com/
