If you completed a background screening during the prior school year or summer (August 1 to current date) you do not have to complete the screening for the current school year. If you completed the screening prior to August 1 of the summer before the prior school year, you will need to complete the screening again. If you are unsure when you did your last screening please see your homeroom teacher who will have a list of who does and does not have to complete the screening. This will avoid BCD having to pay unnecessary processing fees.
To conduct these volunteer background screenings, BCD is using TC logiQ, the same company utilized by the Boulder Valley School District. The link below will connect those who anticipate being a Regular Parent Volunteer at the school to the TC logiQ website. There is no cost to you to complete this process.
When you go into the TC logiQ website you will see “Click here to begin background screening process”. You will then be asked to choose “Returning applicant” or “New applicant”. If in the past you have done a screening for BCD through TC logiQ you should choose “Returning Applicant”. Put in your user name and password and continue the process. If you have forgotten your user name and/or password the system will prompt you. Parents who have never done a screening through BCD should choose “New applicant”
A few days after the background screening is completed, individuals will receive a pass/fail notification. If the person passes, TC logiQ will provide that information to BCD. If the person receives a fail notification, he or she will have the opportunity to discuss that information with TC logiQ.
